Some key figures:

Area: 173.10 ha
Population: 6,316
Density: 5.39% of the population of Luxembourg City

Cents, peace and quiet in the middle of the capital

Surrounded by Neudorf/Weimershof to the north, Hamm and Pulvermühl to the south and Grund and Clausen to the west, the district has many advantages, such as its proximity to the airport and the historic districts of the capital that we cherish so much.

Away from the frenzy of the hyper-centre, Cents is nevertheless a dynamic district. Indeed, it offers all the local shops needed for daily life: mini-market, pharmacy, bakery and newspaper shop... There is everything you need! The location of the district will also allow you to leave your car in the garage all week to take advantage of the many bus lines available. Thus, you will be able to count on the 6 bus lines and its 40 stations which connect the district to the key sectors of the capital of the Grand Duchy.

In addition to the various bus lines, residents benefit from the Cents-Hamm station, a station whose busy lines serve the Central Station and the Kirchberg in particular.

A multi-faceted neighbourhood

The district is also ideal for the inveterate globetrotter who is only a few steps away from Findel airport. A considerable advantage for some, which can be a drawback for others... Being close to the airport also means that planes pass through more or less frequently, depending on the period.

Cents can also be a good compromise for all night owls who like to go out at night and enjoy the peace and quiet. The district is close to the Grund and Clausen, two districts that come alive at night.

Underneath its village-like appearance, the district has many paths open to walking in the surrounding woods. This makes it an ideal neighbourhood for families, as Cents also has schools from cycle 1 to 4 as well as homes. The little ones can enjoy the playgrounds while the older ones can enjoy the multi-sports ground, petanque and football pitch.

The footbridge, an awaited project

The most eagerly awaited project for the district is undoubtedly the opening of the new footbridge that will link the Cents plateau to the Kirchberg plateau (more than 200m long and rising to a height of 52m). A way to partially open up the valley from Clausen to Findel. In addition, this new footbridge will delight both pedestrians and cyclists as it will be dedicated to soft mobility. In order to suit as many people as possible, the footbridge will link up with the Rue des Bleuets in Weimershaff at the level of Rue Tawioun in Cents (projected completion: 2025).

In addition to the footbridge, residents will have a lift a few metres away from it.
