We explain how to react when you have locked yourself out.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Tips on how to stay out of the house<\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">It is often thought of when you are already in a difficult situation, but leaving a set of keys with a trusted neighbour or relative is a solution that can save you a lot of hassle.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Your door has slammed shut and is not locked? You can try to open it with a card, or any other plastic bag (radio, laminated document, loyalty card, etc.). Insert it at the bottom, between the doorframe and the door and slide it gently to the lock. It is advisable to push on the door during the operation. This technique works on older or cheaper doors, but may not work on more secure door models. The \"emergency home repair\" option allows you to be reimbursed for the cost of a locksmith's intervention. Your insurer will provide you with the contact details of approved professionals who can intervene quickly. The time limit for sending the information to your insurance agency depends on the clauses of your contract. On average, you have 48 hours to send the supporting documents. The advantage of this system is that you do not have to advance the costs of the repair.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Emergency home repairs<\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">If your only option is to call a locksmith. Preferably contact a company that is transparent about its prices. Make sure that the cost of repairing your lock includes the emergency intervention and the parts (if your lock is damaged).
