This is particularly the case if you choose to move to another region of the country. Today, we suggest you head east for a look at the property market.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>What is the trend in real estate in the East?<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">In the east of the country, property prices have evolved moderately over the last 6 months after having undergone a strong increase in the previous six months. At that time, prices had risen by +81TP2Q.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Today, the average budget is 454,338 euros for a flat and 791,634 euros for a house. Overall, the prices are close to the national average but are still 6% lower.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">In terms of renting, rental prices are \"cheap\" in the east of the Grand Duchy. The average rent for a flat is 1,215 euros and for a house 2,350 euros per month.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Flat prices in Eastern Luxembourg<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">In September 2019, the average price of a flat in the East of the country is 454,338 euros, an increase of 3% over the last 6 months.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">In this region, flats represent only one third of the supply and sell for around \u20ac5,328\/m2.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">48% of flats for sale in the region are 2-bedroom units, averaging 90 m2<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">In the east of the Grand Duchy, Grevenmacher is the most popular commune for internet users on atHome.lu, followed by Echternach and Mondorf-les-Bains.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>House prices in Eastern Luxembourg<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">House prices have increased by 4% over the past six months in eastern Luxembourg. Today, the average budget to acquire this type of property is \u20ac791,634, or \u20ac4,207\/m2.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The houses in this region are large, on average 193 m2. They are perfectly suited for families&nbsp;<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Looking at the prices in more detail, Mondorf-les-Bains is the most expensive municipality in this region with a price per square metre of 6,176 euros.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Finally, it should be noted that in this region the real estate offer is rather weak, in particular for the sale of real estate.
