{"id":12933,"date":"2020-09-16T08:14:47","date_gmt":"2020-09-16T07:14:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.athome.lu\/blog\/?p=12933"},"modified":"2022-05-11T11:27:20","modified_gmt":"2022-05-11T09:27:20","slug":"a-what-will-meet-the-future-place-of-the-star","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.athome.lu\/blog\/en\/marche-immobilier\/villes\/a-quoi-ressemblera-la-future-place-de-letoile\/","title":{"rendered":"What will the future Place de l'Etoile look like?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">On Tuesday 15 September 2020, Mrs. Lydie Polfer, Mayor of the City, and Mr. Fran\u00e7ois Bausch, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Mobility and Public Works, presented, in the presence of Mr. Thibault Laupr\u00eatre, Managing Director of BC Partners, and Mr. Marc Giorgetti, Manager of Felix Giorgetti S\u00e0rl, the concept for the urban development of Place de l'\u00c9toile, a site of some 3 ha located in the immediate vicinity of the city centre.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"600 homes on the Place de l&#039;\u00c9toile from 2026?\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/vIIiXYuYqr8?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><span style=\"color: #000000;\">A new mobility hub in the heart of the city<\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Located at the intersection of the Route d'Arlon, Rue de Rollingergrund and Boulevard de la Foire, the site currently houses an interchange served by municipal buses, regional buses and the tramway line that will reach the Place de la Gare towards the end of the year.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">With the realisation of the new \"Place de l'\u00c9toile\" project, this square will keep its function as an exchange hub and will even become a main traffic axis linking the neighbouring municipalities in the West to the capital thanks to an improved connection to the existing public transport system and the extension of the tramway network from Place de l'\u00c9toile towards the municipality of Strassen. This new mobility hub aimed at encouraging the development of soft mobility will also accommodate several bicycle paths, stations for the vel'OH! rental system, and pedestrian links to the other districts of the city, notably the Rollingergrund.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">In order to integrate a shared space with an underground bus station for regional buses, the section of the Arlon road between Boulevard de la Foire and Rue de Rollingergrund will be diverted via a tunnel from Boulevard de la Foire in the direction of New York Square to the Arlon road again. This \"new\" Arlon road will allow traffic to be directed in a targeted manner, allowing each road user to find his or her place in this concept, but above all, it will leave more space for the individual on the surface.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n<section id=\"section-3-14695\" class=\"ct-section\" ><div class=\"ct-section-inner-wrap\"><div id=\"div_block-4-14695\" class=\"ct-div-block\" ><div id=\"new_columns-7-14695\" class=\"ct-new-columns\" ><div id=\"div_block-8-14695\" class=\"ct-div-block\" ><div id=\"div_block-14-14695\" class=\"ct-div-block\" ><\/div><\/div><div id=\"div_block-9-14695\" class=\"ct-div-block\" ><h1 id=\"headline-11-14695\" class=\"ct-headline\">What are the property prices at the moment?<\/h1><div id=\"text_block-12-14695\" class=\"ct-text-block\" >Prices are slowing down. Another main guideline, and the first priority of the College of Burgomasters and Aldermen of the City of Luxembourg, is the creation of housing. Thus, of the 102,745 m<sup>2<\/sup>&nbsp;of the project, 48,395 m<sup>2<\/sup>In the first place, 47% of the total area will be used for the construction of over 600 dwellings, including low-cost housing. Then, on a surface of 8,365 m<sup>2<\/sup>&nbsp;(8%) will include shops, a fitness centre, a&nbsp;<em>foodhall<\/em>&nbsp;with terraces and interior gardens as well as a 5-screen multiplex cinema.
