Never pay the full amount of the rent before you arrive at the property. A deposit of 30% is customary.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">2.    Read the contract carefully. It must be written in duplicate and signed by both parties.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">3.    Ask for the exact address of your holiday rental and check its existence in the phone book or on a map.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">4.    Has the owner confirmed your booking? Ask friends to call back and book the same rental on the same date. You will know if the owner is looking to rent out a non-existent \"property\" indefinitely.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">5.
