Dubai is known for its gigantic buildings, and high-rise apartments are no exception. The world's tallest flats are located here in the United Arab Emirates.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><span style=\"color: #000000;\">1- Princess Tower (Dubai), 414 metres<\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\"And the winner is...\" the Princess Tower of... Dubai of course! At 414 metres, it rises in the Dubai marina and can be seen, it is said, from 200 km away. Inaugurated in the spring of 2012, the Princess Tower has 101 floors and the highest of its luxury flats is 357 metres high: a breathtaking view of the (artificial) island of Palm Jumeirah guaranteed.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">For the record, the Princess Tower is precisely half the height of the world's tallest building, its neighbour the Burj Khalifa. It should have been dethroned as the tallest residential tower by another Dubai architectural feat, the Pentominium and its 516 metres, but construction has been suspended for financial reasons since 2011.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.athome.lu\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/Dubai-skyline-500.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-10761\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.athome.lu\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/Dubai-skyline-500.jpg 500w, https:\/\/www.athome.lu\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/Dubai-skyline-500-300x169.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.athome.lu\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/Dubai-skyline-500-18x10.jpg 18w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><span style=\"color: #000000;\">2- 23 Marina (Dubai), 395 metres<\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">90 floors and a private lift for each of its 291 flats: the residential tower 23 Marina is another symbol of the New Dubai, a district that will eventually accommodate 120,000 inhabitants... on an area of 490 hectares - this explains it.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><span style=\"color: #000000;\">3- Elite Residence (Dubai), 380 metres<\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">We remain in Dubai with the Elite Residence and its spire that rises to the sky. There are 695 flats here for residents, who share twelve lifts. For those who want to try it, holiday flats are also available in this tower.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">There is no need to prolong the suspense, as you will have understood that Dubai is the world's tallest residential tower, which is not the case for professional skyscrapers. In fact, in 4<sup>e<\/sup> position, The Torch (337 metres), in 5<sup>e<\/sup> the HHHR Tower (317 metres), in 7<sup>e<\/sup> Ocean Heights (310 metres), etc. The missing place is occupied by an Australian tower, the 322-metre Q1 Tower, located in Gold Coast.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">What about Luxembourg? The country's tallest tower is currently under construction.
