Summer is still here! It's not too late to decorate your balcony to enjoy the sunny days as if you were still, or already, on holiday!

Here are our tips for giving your balcony a seaside feel.

Hammock

Lounger, hammock, or floor cushions?

The first thing to do is of course to install the traditional deckchair, but if you really want to feel like you're on holiday, there's more! Choose to put a hammock.

And if you don't have room for a hammock or deckchair, you can install floor cushions to create a relaxing outdoor area.

Dare to use a mosquito net

Another idea that will make you travel is to install a mosquito net on your French window, which will not only protect you from mosquitoes, but will also make you feel far from Luxembourg 🙂 On a loggia, hang your mosquito net from the ceiling, like a bed canopy, for an escape to the savannah

Plants by the thousands

No holiday without lush nature! Turn your balcony into a green jungle. The principle is to accumulate green plants on your balcony. If you have an opposite view, this will have the advantage of hiding you from the neighbours.
And if you're short on space, a single large exotic plant will do, or you can play with your planters on the railings of your balcony. In this case, invest in canisses.

The details that count

As far as the floor is concerned, as we have already mentioned, opt for outdoor rugs that are easy to install, washable and specially designed to withstand the elements. Choose natural tones, beige or linen, so you'll feel like you're on a sandy beach. Or opt for blue, if you prefer to be in the water.

Finally, accessorise your balcony with seashell-print cushions, pineapple statuettes or a tropical-print plaid for chilly evenings.

Have a good holiday!
