At the "Étang de Mechelsbach" fishing pond, you can spend a relaxing day fishing. There's also a small restaurant. Erpeldange-sur-Sûre Castle was built in the 12th century as a water fortress. Temporarily used as a church, it now houses the municipal administration. The area around Erpeldange-sur-Sûre is a hiker's paradise. A total of 34 hiking trails and 16 cycle paths criss-cross the region and invite you to explore. Direct access to the A7 Route du Nord takes you to Kirchberg in just 30 minutes. The towns of Ettelbruck and Diekirch are only 10 and 6 minutes respectively by car. Mobility The Nordstadbus was created to develop mobility between the communities of the "Nordstad". From Colmar-Berg via Warken and Erpeldange-sur-Sûre to Moestroff, two bus routes run regularly between the south and north of the "Nordstad". Route 512 runs from Moestroff to Warken via Bettendorf, Gilsdorf, Diekirch, Ingeldorf and Erpeldange-sur-Sûre. The "Beim Schlass" and "An der Gewan" bus stops are in the immediate vicinity and are served by bus routes 518, 543, 550 and 552 with a frequency of around 60 minutes.
