The office building ?GALILEO CENTER? built in 2011 is made of 4 floors above ground, a Ground floor, a Garden floor and 3 basement floors (9 in total) which provide together approx. 8,700 m² of office space, approx. 500 m² of multifunctional space, approx. 1,200 m² of archives and 170 interior parking spaces. The building is made of solid concrete and bright granite to achieve good thermal inertia and save energy for cooling. Furthermore, the windows can be opened. The building is equipped with modern metal chilled ceilings and a mechanical ventilation. The building has the form of an open square with a main entrance including an entrance hall as well as a separate entrance for the occupiers of the ground floor. Each floor can be split in several parts enabling to accommodate tenants of different sizes. The 4 lifts and one staircase are located in the centre of the building, while the two blocs of restrooms and two additional staircases are located in the upper left and the downer right corner and thus enable the flexibility.
