The village is mainly known for its Roman heritage. The Gallo-Roman colony "Vicus Ricciacus" near present-day Dalheim was on the important communication route connecting the Mediterranean to the Rhine and included several temples and baths. The highlight of archaeological findings was the discovery in 1985 of a theater with a capacity of 3,500 to 4,000 spectators. The Roman character of the site is today recalled by an obelisk topped with a Roman eagle on the plateau overlooking the village. The association "Ricciacus Frënn" also organizes guided tours of the Gallo-Roman theater and the vicus on summer weekends. In Dalheim, there are a few restaurants and small shops. The "La Cerisaie" center of the Kräizbierg Foundation is located at the entrance to the village, near the school grounds, where people with physical disabilities can find supervised accommodation.
