The Chambre Immobilière du Luxembourg adopts a new organisational structure

The Chambre Immobilière du Luxembourg has announced a change in its organisation to better represent the different business lines in the real estate sector.

This transformation is taking place at a time when the real estate professions are becoming increasingly specialised and facing ever more specific challenges. The aim is to enable each profession to benefit from appropriate representation while strengthening the collective voice of the sector.

The new structure is based on a federator. The Chambre Immobilière thus retains its role of institutional representation, coordination and defence of common interests, while the various trade federations have greater autonomy to deal with issues specific to their activities.

The main new features include the creation of the Federation of Estate Agents (FAI). Its role will be to represent estate agents and agencies, monitor regulations, promote dialogue with the public authorities and support the development of the profession.

For its part, the Federation of Property Developers (FDI) is continuing to promote the development of housing and commercial property in Luxembourg, particularly in areas such as administrative simplification, construction loans and changes to the regulatory framework.

This reorganisation is also accompanied by a new governance structure. Joe Schmit succeeds Paulo Madureira to the presidency of the Chambre Immobilière and will be accompanied by representatives of the various professions to ensure a balanced representation of the sector.

With these changes, the Chambre Immobilière aims to respond more effectively to the current and future challenges of the Luxembourg property market, while at the same time strengthening collaboration between the various players.
