A new look for your home... in the blink of an eye

Is your home looking a bit dull and you want to give it a facelift? There's no need to embark on a huge renovation project - some changes can be enough. Here are some ideas.
Brushes in hand
It takes a few days of work, but there's nothing like repainted walls to give your house or flat a facelift. Of course, you can also opt for wallpaper, non-woven wallpaper (you know, the kind where the glue is applied directly to the wall), or even a paper/paint combination. In any case, monochrome is no longer the order of the day. You might as well give it your all and follow your desires. Beware, however, of those bright colours (red, yellow...) that you might get tired of before you've even finished reading this article! You should also know that there are colours that are suitable for a certain room and not to others.
And while you're on the subject of painting, you might want to brighten up your old dark wooden furniture.
Focus on accessories...
Sometimes it doesn't take much to change the mood of a room: curtains, cushions, rugs, picture frames... Punchy accessories will give it a boost in no time. Again, play with textures and colours to make your living room or bedroom the most welcoming and/or cheerful place in the world.
... and on lighting
It is often the forgotten part of a renovation, but lighting plays an essential role in the atmosphere of a house. Since we are talking about a "facelift" here, forget about the old-fashioned halogen lamps and ceiling lights. Today, indirect lights and LED lamps are the most popular. By increasing the number of 'soft' light sources, you will immediately notice how much more cosy your home will feel.
