Interview: discover your broker Stéphanie!

Discover the portrait of the week!

If you have been following the saga of our brokers closely through their interviews, you will have noticed that many of them joined the atHomeFinance adventure between August and November. Some arrived on the same day. This was the case for three of our brokers Anicée, Sabine & Stephanie. We let you discover Stéphanie, the last profile of this trio.

  1. Moien! Or should I say Hallo, you speak German! How are you?
Yes, I'm fine! I speak German, yes, and I'm starting to know some Luxembourgish expressions!
  2. Can you tell us about your background in a few words?
I did a DUT in banking because I had always wanted to go into this sector of activity. So I did a series of different contracts, different jobs in different banks in France. I've done almost all of them!
  3. Coming from a banking background, what surprised you most about your work as a broker with atHomeFinance?
I would say the trust that our manager gives us. We are fully autonomous in our tasks. We know what we have to do and it is up to us to organise ourselves accordingly. All this allows us to optimise our time.
  4. What is the most unusual meeting you have ever had?
I'd like to let you in on the secret, but I'm keeping the anecdotes to myself! But I'll let you imagine: some clients, in addition to entrusting us with their life project, also tell us things that are more personal.
  5. What is your greatest achievement at atHomeFinance?
This happened a few days ago. A mother with young children and recently divorced, wanted to buy back the share of the flat originally purchased with her ex-spouse. She didn't necessarily have a lot of money, but I was able to find a package that suited her situation and the bank finally accepted her application.
  6. Explain the loan-to-value in one sentence.
The principle of loan-to-value consists of relating the amount of the loan to the amount of the property financed. To give a very concrete example, if you buy a property for €1 million and borrow €900,000, the loan-to-value will be 90%.
  7. What is the company value that represents you the most and that you apply daily?
"Integrity & caring" is the one that represents me the most. I am kind to my clients and this is a real strength because they pay me back.
