Interview : Meet your broker Kevin!

Discover the portrait of the week!

Kevin has been with atHomeFinance since the beginning. He has seen the company and the team grow. He is now a real expert in mortgage brokerage and nothing escapes him anymore. We let you discover his profile!

  1. Me! How are you doing?
It's going very well, thank you?
  2. Can you tell us about your background in a few words?
I started by working in retail banking for 10 years in France before specialising in wealth management in private banking. Then I started a conversion to become a broker at Crédit Expert in Luxembourg before the brokerage company became atHomeFinance.
  3. Do you have a special personal mantra for home loans?
Staying positive on a personal and professional level, but also with my clients. This is a mantra that applies well to real estate loans, especially in Luxembourg. Indeed, it is possible to buy even if in some cases it can be more complicated. For each "dead end", I show my clients other solutions.
  4. What is the most unusual meeting you have ever had?
It was a few years ago, a client who wanted financing for a house he wanted to buy. I asked the client for photos so that I could present the property to the bank to put together the file. And I didn't expect this: it was in ruins! What struck me most was the supermarket trolley in the middle of the living room... I didn't dare present the property to the bank because, apart from being in ruins, it was far too expensive for what it was. Indeed, our role is also to only present serious files to our banking partners.
  5. What is the phrase you repeat most often to your clients?
"We are a totally free service" and "We negotiate the best financing for you". These are the phrases I repeat the most during the presentation of the service because they are the most important.
  6. Explain the tax credit in one sentence.
The tax credit on notarial deeds "Bëllegen Akt" is a support granted by the government for the acquisition of a principal residence. The tax credit is limited to €20,000 per person on the registration fees to be paid to the notary. If the tax credit is not fully used at the time of the first purchase, this sum can be reused at the time of the next notarial act.
  7. What is the company value that represents you the most and that you apply daily?
I recognise myself in all of them, they are all important in our business and they represent us well. But the one that most applies to me is "consumer first" because it is part of the basis of our business. Without customers, we wouldn't have a business. So, taking care of them to realise their real estate project is the most important thing.
