A Feng shui interior? How to do it?

A Chinese art of living, the basic principle of Feng Shui is to allow the proper circulation of energy within the house. And because each room of the house corresponds to a well-defined activity, each room answers to different rules.

In the living room

The living room is a multi-purpose room, where family and friends can meet and rest or eat. According to the feng shui principle, in this space, choose seats with rounded lines. For the sofa, the ideal position is near the door. However, you should not have your back to the door or the window.

In the kitchen

This room, considered to be the heart of the home, combines two incompatible elements: fire and water. To avoid them clashing, avoid placing your dishwasher opposite the oven. Another important element: put away all sharp knives and opt for rounded lines on the worktop or island side to limit negative waves. You can also opt for positive colours such as green, yellow or orange.

In the room

For a feng shui bedroom, the watchword is simplicity. As a place of rest, the bedroom should be uncluttered and free of electronic objects. The bed should be as far away as possible from the front door, and the headboard should face north or west.

If you're a fan of mirrors, be careful: they must never reflect the bed, otherwise you'll suffer from insomnia or illness...

In the bathroom

For this room, favour pastel shades, blue or green, as a reminder of the water, white or very light grey. Choose natural materials and good lighting. You can multiply the plants in the bathroom in order to favour the circulation of good energies and also to absorb humidity. Mirrors are useful for reflecting positive energy..
