In the presence of Philippe Streff, Director of Caritas Luxembourg, and Tim Pittevils, Managing Director of atHome Group, a partnership was signed on Wednesday 23 March 2016 at the premises of atHome Group in Luxembourg.

Common goals: Luxembourg lives here

As part of its CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) development, atHome Group has set up a partnership with Caritas Luxembourg.

The organisation is actively working on projects related to housing or rehousing which, as a real estate player in Luxembourg, closely concerns atHome Group but also its employees. Being aware of the problems of poverty and poor housing, and above all putting in place solidarity initiatives to fight against these inequalities, is now at the heart of atHome.lu's corporate culture.

A mixed residential project in Beggen

The first important initiative in the collaboration between Caritas and atHome.lu is the promotion of a mixed residence project in Beggen. This innovative project is intended to bring together and house several generations of people, seniors and students. Equipped with a common room and a garden, this multi-generational co-housing should help fight against isolation and encourage mutual aid between tenants. This project should be completed by the end of 2016.

Other solidarity actions will be implemented by the atHome.lu teams to support Caritas, such as visiting homes or participating in the collection of donations.
