Only a few more days to go before Christmas!
For many of us, it is a special time of year to share a meal with the family around a beautiful table.

Why red at Christmas?

If red is one of the classic colours of Christmas, this can be explained by a Christian tradition dating back to the Middle Ages. At that time, the day of Adam and Eve was celebrated on 14 December. For this event, churches were decorated with a scene from the Garden of Eden. Fir branches and red apples were used as symbols of the forbidden fruit of Eden.

This tradition is said to be the origin of the red colour now associated with Christmas and used in the traditional decoration of Christmas trees.

To make a success of your decoration, you can rely on red tableware, small decorative accessories or red flowers, without forgetting the inevitable Father Christmas.
