Modular furniture to save square metres
Enjoying good comfort while living in a flat that could remind you of a doll's house is entirely possible... provided you are a bit clever, make ingenious use of every square metre and opt for modular furniture.
Kitchen side
Looking for modular furniture? Furniture manufacturers have no shortage of ideas when it comes to what can be modularised. Let's start our "space saving operation" with the kitchen. A wall-mounted table that can be folded away is an interesting solution, especially if you add folding stools. But there is something better (or at least more stylish)! There are now tables and seats that are integrated directly into the main kitchen unit and slide out like drawers.
Living room side
When we talk about modularity in the living room / dining room, which sometimes also serves as a bedroom, we think first of the inevitable convertible sofa. But the table is also becoming more and more modular, with multifunctional coffee tables whose top can be raised to serve as a dining table when guests are invited. All you have to do is clear the table between the drinks and the starter! In this space, you can also make the most of the space saved by stools or chairs that hide storage or a wall secretary. Note that sideboards are also now modular and can hide an extendable table.
Bedroom side
A modular bed that folds up and leaves space during the day is a solution for small rooms that also serve as an office. You can also choose a folding or retractable bed: the bed can be "stuck to the ceiling" to make room for a desk, a table, a yoga mat, in short, anything you want. Another idea for a child's room (from a certain age onwards) is a desk that, once its top is raised, reveals a single bed.
