Rental prices in Luxembourg in 2017
Discover the major rental price trends of this spring 2017 in Luxembourg. These figures are presented in detail in atHome Magazine.
Rental: 7% rent increase on 1 and 2 bedroom flats
Rental market prices are increasing mainly because of the prices in the south and centre of the country. The increase is smaller the further away from the two main cities of the Grand Duchy (Luxembourg City and Esch-sur-Alzette).
Today, on average, it is necessary to count on 1,378 to rent a flat in Luxembourg (all areas combined), and 2,357 to rent a house.
The prices of small areas, one and two bedroom flats, have risen the most (+7% in 1 year), only studio apartments have been spared (-3%). For all flats, rents have increased by 2% in 1 year.
Conversely, for rented houses, it is the large 4 and 5 bedroom units that have increased the most (respectively +8% and 9% over 1 year). It should be noted, however, that rental prices for houses have fallen over the last 6 months by 4% overall.
