Focus on the property market in the North

In real estate, the north of the Grand Duchy is the cheapest region in the country! Despite this fact, it does not attract future buyers who prefer the centre and the south of Luxembourg.

The sales prices are nevertheless attractive. For a flat the average list price is "only" 356,024 euros and 585,289 euros for a house (average list price in September 2018).

However, there has been a significant increase in prices over the last 6 months, ranging from 4 to 8% on average depending on the type of property. This strong price increase is also observed throughout the country.

Flat prices in the north

Flats for sale in the Nord region are few in number and represent 10% of the national supply. To buy this type of property, the average budget in the region is 356,024 euros. This is an increase of 8% over the last six months (change between March and September 2018).

However, average prices for this type of housing are still 22% below the national average price.

House prices in the North

Although the supply of real estate in the northern region is low, it is ideal for families looking to buy a home.

The region offers a majority of houses, at prices below the national average of 23 %. Almost half of these (42%) are 4-bedroom family homes. In September 2018, the average budget for this type of property is 608,229 euros. Over the last 6 months, the price increase is 6%.

Finally, note that the most sought-after communes in the North are EttelbruckDiekirch and Wiltz.
